A second day of warm temperatures didn't deter players in the seniors field from going low once again. Last year's champion Mike Poloni came in hot today with an even par round to create a tie for first place with John Taylor for a two round total of 145, creating a playoff and a rematch between the two for a second consecutive year.
With the playoff looming, all eyes were on the 9th hole at Sand Point waiting for the pair of golfers to come down the fairway - will we have a repeat or will we have a new winner?
With Mike coming up short with his aproach shot from the bunker, and John landing on the front of the green with a back pin placement, it was still anyones game. Mike placed his pitch shot close but just past the pin leaving himself a downhiller. John snaked his long put up tighter than Mikes marker. After a lip-out by Mike and dropping his next put for bogey, John sunk his knee knocker for par and now reigns as the 2018 Senior Men's Champion!
